FAQ’s
The average microwave oven lasts about seven years with normal use, and even less with heavy use and poor maintenance. A large family may find themselves replacing their appliance every four to five years as they become more reliant on its use to heat up snacks and leftovers or to defrost meals.
If you’re looking to replace a worn-out microwave with something more reliable and with higher quality, then you can’t go wrong with a Whirlpool option. These powerful and high-quality microwave ovens are exceptionally well-made and will last you for years to come, which may be better than your previous model.
If the voltage is not close to the rating voltage 120 +/-15 VAC, unplug the microwave oven or disconnect the power.
Press the “Off/Clear’ button to cancel anything on the display, and reset the microwave. This is a soft reset and will simply get you out of any program you have started. Press it when the cooking complete reminder appears on the display, for example, and the “Your Food is Ready” message will disappear
Whirlpool brand offers a wide variety of conventional gas and electric ranges, as well as wall ovens, to complement a separate cooktop.
Your Whirlpool® Over-the-Range Microwave comes equipped with grease filters that help clear the air while you cook. While these filters are reusable, they need to be cleaned on a monthly basis to ensure that they maintain peak performance.
The bake range can be set between 170°F and 500°F (77°C and 260°C). 2. Press START.
If the capacitor is not working correctly the circuit will stop working and the microwave will not heat. After the capacitor has been discharged: Test the capacitor for continuity with the multimeter. If the capacitor fails the test you will need a new capacitor.

The start button is identified as the arrow or play icon located on the display.
If a message about the door appears in the display, the door has been closed for 5 minutes or more without the microwave oven being started. This occurs to avoid the unintended starting of the microwave oven. Open and close the door, then start the cycle.
If your microwave has a “Turntable” button on the display, use the below instructions: Locate the “Turntable” button/key on the control panel. Press the button to either turn the on or off the function.
This is normal. The vent fan will automatically turn on during any cook function (on some models), acting as a cooling fan to protect the microwave.
