Keeping your printer on all the time will keep your print heads cleaner, making them less likely to break. Regularly cleaning and maintaining your printer is essential in ensuring it continues printing high-quality documents for a long time.
Depending on the type and intensity of the light your print is exposed to, a print on EPSON Photo Paper may last two or more years before noticeable fading occurs. Fade resistance could decrease in intense light conditions or increase if your print is protected by glass or special laminates.
EpsonNet Internet Print is a utility program that supports printing across the Internet using Internet Printing Protocol (ipp). Since the network interface supports ipp, Internet printing is possible using this utility.
You can connect a mobile device directly to the printer without a wireless router or access point. Note: Make sure the Epson iPrint app is installed on your mobile device before connecting to the printer. Press the home button, if necessary.
Epson printers function very well at 1440 dpi, and in general, this should be the default setting. The 2880 dpi setting is overkill for almost all jobs.
Hold down the maintenance button for three seconds. The printer will start cleaning the print head and the processing light will begin flashing. Print head cleaning takes about thirty seconds to complete.
Printers used to output documents from a computer do not require online access to operate. Provided the document or file to be printed is stored on a local hard disk drive or the local network, it can be printed without a connection to the Internet.
There are at least two easy ways to print on many modern printers without a computer: memory card reader slots, and PictBridge. Printers vary in their support for different memory card readers, of course, but almost all inkjets have memory card slots to support easy photo printing.
If the ink level is below the lower line on the ink tank, refill the ink soon. Continued use of the printer when the ink level is below the lower line on the tank could damage the printer.
Click Print or Page Setup on the File menu of your application. The Print dialog box appears. Click the Utility icon button, then click the EPSON StatusMonitor button in the Utility dialog box. A graphic displaying the amount of ink remaining will appear.
