Operating Principle
The Deerma humidifier turns the water mist into 1 to 5 microns of ultrafine particles based on the principle of high frequency oscillation of ultrasonic wave (1.7 million times per second), and then disperses the water mist into the air through using an air-driven device, so as to uniformly humidify the air. Humidifier can keep the room in an ideal humidity to prevent the static electricity.
Safety Precautions
- Welcome to purchase Deerma humidifier, please read the Manual carefully before use.
- Please use the voltage and frequency consistent with the appliance: 220 V to 50 Hz.
- Do not disassemble, repair or reconstruct the appliance without permission.
- If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or its maintenance department or similar professional maintenance department or specialist.
- In case of any abnormal phenomenon, please unplug the power plug immediately. It must be repaired by the manufacturer or its maintenance department or similar specialist.
- Clean dust on power plug regularly.
- Please turn off the power and unplug it before cleaning or moving.
- When unplugging the power plug, please hold the power plug tightly instead of pulling the supply lead.
- Do not move or turn over the appliance with power supply or water in the water tank.
- Do not touch the water and components in the water tank with power supply.
- Do not cover air inlet and mist outlet with towel and other items when the humidifier is working.
- This is not a toy. To avoid accidents, keep it away from infants and children; do not place it in a crib, stroller or playpen; do not allow infants and children to play with and use the humidifier.
- Do not put the humidifier on the inclined table, it should be placed in a flat and firm place.
- Please do not add essence or other similar substances not produced or supervised by the company in the water tank of the humidifier.
- Do not use it in the kitchen, keep it away from heat source, avoid direct sunlight, and keep it 2 m away from furniture and other household appliances to avoid damp.
- Please unplug the plug when filling with water.
Tips
About the water accumulation in the base: The humidifier turns the water into water mist through using the oscillation of ultrasonic atomizer, the water tank is only an interim storage tool; and the base of all humidifiers water will be accumulated with water, so please rest assured.
About the mist volume adjustment: The mist volume of the humidifier can be adjusted. If there is water around the appliance during use, the humidity in the room is too big, please adjust the mist volume appropriately.
Operation Instructions
- Remove the water tank assembly from the product.
- Screw down the water valve assembly, place the water tank vertically, align the water injection port with the faucet, open the faucet valve to fill the water tank with water, and then tighten the water valve assembly to complete the water injection.
- Or turn on the water valve assembly, extend the water valve assembly to a proper position, and then place the water tank horizontally, align the water inlet on the side of the water valve with the faucet, open the faucet valve to fill the water tank with water, and then tighten the water valve assembly to complete the water injection (this water injection method is used when the height of the faucet is not enough to erect the whole water tank)
- Put the water tank assembly into the base, insert the plug of the power cord into the socket, and touch the “Power” button to start the machine and touch the “Fog Amount” button to adjust the fog amount.
Function description
After the power cord is plugged in, the appliance beeps and enters into the standby state and the standby indicator 
lights up.
Power key: Press this key, the machine will be turned on with a sound of “beep”. The default is the maximum fog, and all four light bars on the display will be on, meanwhile, the current humidity value will be displayed in the numerical display zone. Press the key again to turn off the machine, and the display will be off (except for the standby indicator).
Note: Press and hold the power switch key for 3 seconds in the power-on state, and the display screen will turn off; and then press any key again, the display screen will turn on.
Fog amount key: Press this key to adjust the fog amount, which is divided into high, middle and low gears. Press the key in the sequence as shown in the following chart. After setting the gear, the corresponding gear bar on the display will be on (one for low gear, two for middle gear and four for high gear). The value of current ambient humidity will be displayed in the numerical display zone.
Timing key: After the appliance is started up, the timing function is turned off by default.
Under normal operation, touch the timing key, the timing setting function will be turned on and can be switched according to the following chart. After the operation duration is selected, the duration flickers for 3 seconds, the humidifier enters the timing operation mode, the timing icon 
lights up, and then the value display area displays the current humidity value; when the set duration is completed, the appliance will enter the standby state. To cancel the timing, press the timing key, adjust the value of operation duration to 00, and the value flickers for 3 seconds, and then the timing function will be turned off and the timing icon will go out.
Auto constant humidity key: After the appliance is started up, the auto constant humidity function is turned off by default. Under normal operation, touch the auto constant humidity key, the constant humidity setting function will be turned on and can be switched according to the following chart. After the humidity value is selected, the value flickers for 3 seconds, the humidifier enters the auto constant humidity operation mode, at this time, the corresponding constant humidity symbol, humidity value and the symbol of humidity unit light up; to cancel the auto constant humidity function, adjust the value to –, and then the value flickers for 3 seconds, and the 
icon goes out.
Note: After the auto constant humidity function is turned on, the appliance operates in high-volume moist state by default, and then it returns to the standby state after the set humidity value is reached; when the humidity is lower than the set value, the appliance will enter the humidifying mode.
Water shortage protection: When the water tank is short of water, the buzzer will “beep, beep, beep” three times to give an alarm, the water shortage indicator on the display screen turns red (flickering), and the display screen is always on. When water is added to the water tank, the water shortage indicator will go out and the appliance return to normal working condition.
Note: All the above settings of key function shall be consistent with the machine and the remote controller.
In addition, be sure to pull out the plug of power cord when the machine is not working.
Precautions
- The supply voltage must be consistent with the rated voltage of the product. If the supply voltage is not consistent with the rated voltage, please contact the distributor and stop using the product;
- Please place the humidifier at room temperature for 30 minutes before using it to prevent water tank from being damaged due to sudden change of temperature;
- Please use it at normal room temperature (5°C~40°C);
- Please place in a flat position to avoid tilting;
- Please do not put the humidifier directly on the wood floor when using, to protect the wood floor from being deformed and damaged due to moisture;
- Please place the humidifier 2 m away from furniture and electrical appliances to avoid damp;
- Keep it away from heat source and avoid direct sunlight;
- Never add hot water above 40°C into the water tank to avoid damaging the appliance;
- Do not let water flow into the appliance from the air outlet. Please wipe the water on the body of appliance with a dry cloth to avoid damaging the appliance;
- When the room temperature is below 0°C, please pour out the water in the water tank to avoid damaging the appliance due to freezing;
- Please do not put metals, chemicals, detergents into the water tank, or the bad atomization phenomenon will occur;
- Please turn off the power and unplug the plug before pouring out the water in the tank;
- Be sure to turn off the power and unplug the plug before moving, cleaning and filling water; do not move the appliance at will during working;
- Do not inject water into mist outlet and air outlet;
- When cleaning, please avoid water entering the appliance;
- Do not disassemble the original parts of the appliance.
Fault Analysis and Troubleshooting
After touching the “Power” button, the lamp is not on, and no fog is sprayed Cause analysis: The power supply is not turned on or fails Solution:
Reconnect the power supply; if the appliance still cannot work properly, please contact Deerma after-sales service center in time.
The power is turned on, but there is no mist
Cause analysis:
- The water tank of humidifier is short of water. That is because the product has started water shortage protection;
- No water comes out of the water tank. That is because the silicone valve and valve needle in the water valve assembly are not installed in place
Solution:
- Fill the water tank with water and restart the machine;
- Install the silicone valve and valve needle in place. If the machine still can’t work normally, please contact Deerma after-sales service center in time.
Less mist
Cause analysis: There are more scale on the atomizing film or there are many impurities in water
Solution:
Clean the atomizing film and replace it with the clean water.
Abnormal noise
Cause analysis: The water in the tank is too little, and the surface for placing the appliance is not flat and stable.
Solution:
Fill water in the tank and place the humidifier on a solid surface.
Remarks: If the fault can not be eliminated after analysis of the above phenomenon, please contact the maintenance points or distributors. Non-professional personnel are strictly forbidden to disassemble and assemble the appliance by themselves.
Cleaning and Maintenance
- In order to maintain the best performance of the humidifier, it is necessary to clean the water tank of the humidifier regularly.
- In order to prevent the accumulation of dirt around the atomizer plate in the water tank, the atomizer plate needs to be cleaned frequently for it is difficult to clean the stubborn dirt after a long time.
- Please turn off the power and unplug it before cleaning. When unplugging the power plug, please hold the power plug tightly instead of pulling the supply lead.
- Do not clean the surface of the appliance with chemical solvent, gasoline, polishing powder and other substances, do not clean the appliance with detergent but with clean water.
- Please clean the parts with soft cloth regularly. If the scale in the water tank cannot be removed by regular cleaning, please use the detergent produced or supervised by our company. Melt citric acid with 60°C hot water (the ratio of water to citric acid is 10 mL: 1 g), pour it onto the place with the scale and soak for 5 minutes, and then brush the scale surface gently with brush until the scale is removed.
- Please change the water in the water tank frequently and keep the humidifier clean.
- Please clean all parts, dry and put them into the original packing box or place them in a dry place if the appliance is not used for long time.
