Features

Your watch provides you with the features and functions described below.

  • Solar powered operation: The watch generates electrical power from sunlight and other types of light, and uses it to charge a
    battery that powers operation.
  • Accurate timekeeping: Timekeeping is kept accurate using information provided by receipt of a time calibration signal and by
    communication with a phone.
  • Dual time: You can view the current time in your current location and in one more time zone.
  • Stopwatch: The stopwatch measures elapsed time up to 24 hours in one-second increments.
  • Timer: The timer counts down from a preset start time, and the watch sounds a tone when the countdown reaches zero.
  • Alarms: The watch can be configured to sound a tone when the preset alarm time is reached.

Charging the Watch

  • When you are not wearing the watch, leave it where its face (solar panel) is exposed to bright light for charging.
  • To help ensure stable operation, expose the face of the watch to about a half day of direct sunlight each month to charge it.
  • While wearing the watch, take care so your sleeve does not block its face (solar panel) from light. Charging efficiency may be reduced if the face (solar panel) is blocked from light, even partially.CASIO 5625 MRG-B2000B-1A1 G-SHOCK MR-G Black Watch-fig3

Caution
The case of the watch may become extremely hot when charging. Guard against burn injury.

Power Saving

  • Leaving the watch in a dark location for about one hour between the hours of 9p.m. and 6a.m. will cause the second hand to stop at 12o’clock.
  • Leaving the watch in a dark location for about one week will cause all hands to stop.

Battery Alerts

  • Low Battery
Second hand jumps every two seconds (Low Battery Alert).
  • Dead Battery
    All hands stopped.

Timekeeping (Current Time and Day Adjustment)

Timekeeping is kept accurate using information provided by a time calibration signal and by communication with a mobile phone.

  • Time calibration signals can be received using Auto Receive or Manual Receive
  • To set the current time and day, normally use the procedure under “Time Calibration Signal Auto Receive”
  • For information about how to adjust time using a phone, refer to the Operation Guide available at the website below. https://world.casio.com/manual/wat/
  • Time calibration signal auto receive is not performed while the watch is able to connect with a phone to adjust the watch time setting. Signal reception is performed whenever the watch is unable to connect with a phone for time adjustment for more than one day.
  • If you are in an area where a time calibration signal cannot be received or if you cannot connect with a phone for some reason, adjust time and date settings manually

Important!

  • In order to make it possible for the current time setting to be adjusted correctly based on time calibration signal reception, you need to specify the time zone where you are using the watch (pages E-14 and L-2).
  • If you feel that the current time and/or day indicator are not in the correct positions, you can adjust their alignment. For details, see the Operation Guide available at the CASIO website.
  • Time calibration signal reception is normally possible in the areas below.
    • Japan, China, North America, Europe
For details, see the Operation Guide available at the CASIO website.

Using the Watch in a Medical Facility or Aircraft

  • Disable auto time adjustment whenever you are in a medical facility, and aircraft, in any other area where radio wave reception and connection with a phone are prohibited or restricted.
  • Disabling auto time adjustment disables time calibration signal auto receive and auto connection with a phone.
  • Before using the crown, be sure to first read the “Crown Operations and Configuring Settings”
  • In the Calendar Mode, press B once and then pull out the crown to the first click. The second hand will move to Y (YES) (auto receive enabled) or N (NO) (auto receive disabled). To disable auto time adjustment, rotate the crown to move the second hand to N (NO). To enable auto time adjustment, rotate the crown to move the second hand to Y (YES). After the setting is the way you want, push the crown back in to its normal position.CASIO 5625 MRG-B2000B-1A1 G-SHOCK MR-G Black Watch-fig5

Timekeeping (Based on a Time Calibration Signal)

Appropriate Signal Reception Location (Time Calibration Signal)

  • Keep the watch away from metal and position it so its 12 o’clock side is facing a window. Avoid moving the watch as much as possible and do not perform any watch operations while a signal receive operation is in progress.
  • You may experience time calibration signal reception problems in the areas described below.
    • Among or near buildings
    • While riding in a vehicle
    • Near household appliances, office machines, mobile phones, etc.
    • On a construction site, in an airport, or any other location where radio wave interference occurs
    • Near high-voltage lines
    • In mountainous areas or behind a mountain
  • Always check the time setting on the day there should be a switch between standard time and summer time (DST). If the setting is not correct (due to signal reception failure), turn DST on or off manually as required.CASIO 5625 MRG-B2000B-1A1 G-SHOCK MR-G Black Watch-fig8

Time Calibration Signal Auto Receive

  • Leave the watch in a location that is appropriate for time calibration signal reception between the hours of midnight and 5:00 a.m. See “Appropriate Signal Reception Location (Time Calibration Signal)” (page E-11).
    • The second hand will point to R (RC) while time calibration signal reception is in progress.
    • Reception normally takes anywhere from about two to ten minutes, but it can take as long as 20minutes.
    • When the receive operation is successful, the time and day settings will be adjusted automatically.
    • You can disable auto receive if you want. See “Using the Watch in a Medical Facility or Aircraft”

Time Calibration Signal Manual Receive

  • If the watch is currently paired with a phone, perform the required watch operations to unpair them.
For details, see the Operation Guide available at the CASIO website. https://world.casio.com/manual/wat/CASIO 5625 MRG-B2000B-1A1 G-SHOCK MR-G Black Watch-fig9
    1. Hold down B for at least 0.5 seconds until the second hand moves to R (RC). If the second hand is a position other than R (RC), keep B depressed until it moves to R (RC).
    2. Place the watch near a window.
      • The time setting will be adjusted automatically when a signal receive operation is successful.
      • Calibration signal reception normally takes anywhere from about two to 10 minutes. It can take as long as 20 minutes.
      • Best reception is in the middle of the night.

Crown Operations and Configuring Settings

  • Before performing a crown operation, rotate it towards you to unlock (unscrew) it.
    Important!
  • In order to prevent loss of water resistance and damage due to impact, make sure that the crown is fully pushed in to its normal position after operating it.
  • Operation details: Operation Guide available at the CASIO website. https://world.casio.com/manual/wat/
