  • WARNING – To comply with the National Electrical Code and Underwriters Laboratories requirements, when installed outdoors, or in wet locations, the edge of the wall plate coming in contact with the mounting surface, must be sealed with a latex waterproof caulking to prevent water from entering the outlet box.

Preparation

  • Before beginning installation, make sure all parts are included using the contents diagrams.
  • If any part is missing or damaged, do not attempt to assemble, install, or operate the product.
  • Estimated assembly time: 30 minutes.
  • Tools required for assembly (not included): Screwdriver, pliers, wire stripper, safety glasses, electrical tape, ladder, and drill.

Care and Maintenance

  • Shut off the main power supply before cleaning the product or changing light bulbs. To clean, wipe with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or cleaners that contain alcohol.

Assembly Instructions

  1. Remove the 4 screws (CC) and 4 rubber gaskets (DD) from the edge of the fixture (A). Then separate the back plate (BB) from the fixture (A).
  2. Place the back plate (BB) against the wall in the direction of the back plate arrow pointing upwards. Mark the position of the screw holes through the back plate (BB) on the wall.PROGRESS-LIGHTING-Z-2030-LED-Black-ContemporaryMedium-Outdoor-Light-FIG-4
    • Ensure that the back plate (BB) is level.
    • Use a 15/64 inch drill bit to drill pilot holes at the locations marked and insert the wall anchors (FF).
    • Hang the back plate (BB) by the two keyhole slots in the back of the back plate. The back plate should be oriented so that the narrow portion of the keyhole faces up.
    • Screw the 2 pan head self-tapping screws (EE) through the back plate (BB) into the two wall anchors (FF).
    • Attach the back plate (BB) to the outlet box using the mounting screws supplied with the outlet box (not provided).
    • Tighten securely.
  3. Strip 3/8″ of insulation from the electrical wire ends. Using wire nuts (AA), connect the WHITE fixture wire to the WHITE supply wire from the outlet box; connect the BLACK fixture wire to the
    • BLACK supply wire from the outlet box.
    • Connect the fixture ground wire and supply ground wire using a wire nut or by fastening it to the ground screw on the round mounting plate. Push all of the wire connections carefully into the outlet box.PROGRESS-LIGHTING-Z-2030-LED-Black-ContemporaryMedium-Outdoor-Light-FIG-5
  4. Reinstall the fixture (A) to the back plate (BB) and screw back down the 4 rubber gaskets (DD) and 4 screws (CC).PROGRESS-LIGHTING-Z-2030-LED-Black-ContemporaryMedium-Outdoor-Light-FIG-6
