2011-2019 Ford Powerstroke Digital Switch
- The 2011-2019 Ford Powerstroke Digital Switch by GDP Tuning, LLC. is a product designed to enhance the performance of your vehicle. It comes with a digital switch that enables manual high idle on the 6.7L Powerstroke engine. Additionally, it has a Shift on the Fly (SOTF) feature that allows you to switch between power levels while driving.

Product Usage Instructions
- Before installation, make sure the vehicle is completely turned off and has cooled down to prevent any burns or injury from hot engine parts.
- Start by locating the SEIC passthrough harness under the dashboard on the driver’s side for 2011-2016 Powerstroke or on the passenger side for 2017-2019 Powerstrokes, next to the OBD-II port.
- If you want to enable manual high idle, locate the YELLOW/GREEN wire in the SEIC passthrough harness, and splice the BLUE wire from the digital switch harness to this wire.
- Locate the GREEN wire in the truck’s SEIC pass-through harness and splice the PURPLE wire from the SOTF switch to this wire.
- To set the desired high-idle RPM, depress the emergency brake to engage high idle, then start and idle the engine.
- Press the Down Arrow on the Digital Switch until it shows level 1. Press and hold the Down Arrow until an `H’ shows, then release. You will now have five different levels of high-idle.
- If you do not want to enable manual high idle, skip steps 2-6 and proceed to step 7.
- To install the Shift on the Fly (SOTF) for the switch, route the ORANGE wires from the SOTF switch through the firewall to the fuel temperature sensor. Be sure to route the wires carefully, away from hot surfaces or moving parts. Also, secure wires so they will not rub on any sharp edges.
- Insert pins into the included plug, and press until they click. Match ORANGE wire to green wire. Then match the black wire to the green/white wire.
With these instructions, you should be able to install and use the 2011-2019 Ford Powerstroke Digital Switch with ease. However, if you have any questions or encounter issues during installation or use, please refer to the user manual or contact GDP Tuning LLC for assistance.

Caution
- Never work on a hot vehicle. Serious injury in the form of burns can result if the vehicle has been in use. Allow vehicle to cool prior to installation. Always wear eye protection when working on or under any vehicle.

Step 1
- This Digital SOTF switch has the ability to enable manual high-idle on the 6.7L Powerstroke. It is optional however, so if you do not want that function, just skip to step 7 for installing the SOTF Wire.
Step 2
- For the high-idle function, locate the SEIC passthrough harness on the under the dash on the driver side for 2011-2016 Powerstrokes, on the passenger side for 2017-2019, next to the OBD-II port. You are looking for blunt-end wires.
Step 3 2011-2016 Powerstrokes:
- Locate the YELLOW/GREEN wire in the SEIC passthrough harness. Splice the BLUE wire from the switch harness to the YELLOW/GREEN SEIC passthrough harness. 2017-2019 Powerstrokes:
- Locate the YELLOW/GREEN wire in the SEIC passthrough harness. Splice the BLUE wire from the switch harness to the YELLOW/GREEN SEIC passthrough harness.
Step 4 2011-2016 Powerstrokes:
- Locate the GREEN wire in the truck’s SEIC pass-through harness. Splice the PURPLE wire from the SOTF switch to the GREEN wire on the truck. 2017-2019 Powerstrokes:
- Locate the GREEN wire in the truck’s SEIC pass-through harness. Splice the PURPLE wire from the SOTF switch to the GREEN wire on the truck.
Step 5
- To set the desired high-idle RPM, you must first depress the emergency brake to engage the high idle then start and idle the engine. Be sure it is up to operating temperature and your foot is off the brake pedal.
Step 6
- Press the Down Arrow on the Digital Switch until it shows level 1. Press and hold the Down Arrow until an ‘H’ shows, then release. You will now have five different levels of high-idle. To exit High Idle, repeat step 8, instead of an ‘H’, a ‘-’ will show when exiting high-idle.
Step 7
- To install the Shift on the Fly(SOTF) for the switch. Route the ORANGE wires from the SOTF switch through the firewall to the fuel temperature sensor as shown in the pictures. Be sure to route the wires carefully, away from hot surfaces or moving parts. Also be sure to secure wires so they will not rub on any sharp edges
Step 8
- Insert pins into an included plug. Press, until you hear them, and click. Match ORANGE wire to green wire. Then match the black wire to the green/white wire.
- Showing plug for 2011-2014. 2015-2019 will be in the same location
Step 9
- Connect the GDP plug to the factory male side plug. Make sure it fully snaps into place for a sure connection. Double-check all wires under your dash and under the hood to make sure they are tied up away from any pedals or hot surfaces.
Troubleshooting
To troubleshoot your switch, you will need a voltmeter.
Step 1
- Set your switch to position 1.

- Turn key to the run position. (engine off or on)
Step 3
- Test the Switch on the fly wire (Orange Wire). These numbers may vary within their specific levels. (i.e. 4.0-4.9 in Position 1) The voltage you should be seeing is:
Step 4
- If the readings do not match, please check your connections and pins to make sure they are not bent or broken. As well as there is no debris stopping the pins from being inserted completely.
