- Supports 4K resolutions up to 3840 x 2160 @ 30 Hz in DisplayPort Multi-Stream Transport (MST) Mode to extend desktop image across 3 displays at the same time
- Each HDMI port individually supports 4K resolutions up to 3840 x 2160 @ 60 Hz with 4:4:4 chroma subsampling, 36-bit Deep Color (12 bits per channel) and HDCP 1.4/2.2
- USB-A hub ports support USB 3.2 Gen 1 speeds up to 5 Gbps; one dedicated port supports up to 7.5W* for charging
- USB-C PD 3.0 port supports 20V 5A (100W) power output for charging host device and ensures stable connection during connection and disconnection**
- Dual card readers support Secure Digital v3.0 UHS-I (Ultra High Speed) and can be used simultaneously
- Supports DisplayPort 1.4 Alternate Mode for outputting 4K video and digital audio without special software drivers
- Compatible with USB-C and Thunderbolt 3 connectors
- Plug-and-play operation with no software required for easy, immediate installation

Installation
Note: When connecting to a DP 1.4 Alt Mode supported host, the max resolution of the HDMI ports is 4K/60 Hz (Dual: 4K/30 Hz). If connecting to a DP 1.2 Alt Mode supported host, the max resolution of the HDMI ports is 4K/30 Hz (Dual: 1080p/60 Hz) due to the limited bandwidth.
Installation
1. Connect the built-in USB-C cable to your source device’s USB-C or Thunderbolt 3 port.
Notes:
• To transfer both video/audio and data signals, source must support DisplayPort Alt Mode.
• Multi-Stream Transport (MST) is required to achieve extended dual displays. Displays will be mirrored under Single-Stream Transport (SST). Typically, Windows systems support MST, while Mac systems support SST.
2. With user-supplied HDMI cable(s), connect one or two HDMI-compliant displays to the docking station.
3. Connect up to two (U442-DOCK8G-GG) or three (U442-DOCK8-GG) USB 3.2 Gen 1 peripheral devices. One dedicated USB-A port provides up to 7.5A of fast charging power.
4. Insert a Micro SD and/or SD card into the memory card slots to transfer data to or from the source device.
5. Charge your source, up to 20V 5A (100W), using the available USB-C PD 3.0 port.
6. (U442-DOCK8G-GG only) Connect a user-supplied Cat5e/6 Ethernet cable to the RJ45 port to join a wired Gigabit Ethernet network at speeds up to 10/100/1000 Mbps.
