INITIATE A HEALTH CHECK

  • Disconnecting the Smart Badge from the charging cable triggers an automatic health check
  • To initiate a manual health check, depress the alert button for 1 second

TRIGGER AN ALARM

  • Depress the alert button for 5 seconds
  • The LED turns yellow, then red
  • An alarm is triggered, you can release the button NOMADIX ALERTS SB1 Alerts Smart Badge - TRIGGER AN ALARM

USE FALL DETECTION

  • The Smart Badge must be worn vertically using a lanyard and be able to move freely
  • In case of fall suspicion, the LED turns red
  • The device then blinks while testing verticality and movement
  • If a fall is confirmed, the LED turns red for 5 seconds and an alarm is triggered NOMADIX ALERTS SB1 Alerts Smart Badge - FALL DETECTION

WI-FI NETWORK ANALYTICS

  • The Smart Badge sends Wi-Fi network analytics data (green blink) to the Cloud Administration Console and synchronizes (orange blink) at regular intervals

RECHARGE A SMART BADGE

  • Connect the Micro USB cable to the device and to a power source
  • When the Smart Badge indicates low battery (red LED), it must be charged for at least 4 hours before it can be used again
  • Scans, alarms, and synchronizations are deactivated during charging

ENVIRONMENT LEARNING

  • Set the Smart Badge to Learn Mode on the Cloud Administration Console
  • Depress the alert button for 1 second. The LED turns orange, then white
  • To trigger a manual beacon scan, depress the alert button for 3 seconds. The LED blinks white
  • Once the LED returns to solid white, the Smart Badge is ready for another scan

RESET A SMART BADGE

  • • Connect the Micro USB cable to the device and to a power source
  • Hold the alert button for 20 seconds until the LED blinks orange, and wait for the device to restart
  • The default SSID “Nomadix alerts” and password “Nomadix alerts” must be available during a device reset, as the Smart Badge first connects using the default settings before synchronizing with the Cloud Administration Console to retrieve the configured settings. The best practice is to configure a mobile Wi-Fi hotspot with a smartphone to restore device connectivity.

FIRMWARE UPDATES

  • During firmware updates the LED blinks blue, then the badge restarts

Appendix FCC Warnings

This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device, pursuant to part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation. This equipment generates, uses, and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio communications. However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular installation. If this equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or television reception, which can be determined by turning the equipment off and on, the user is encouraged to try to correct the interference by one or more of the following measures:

  • Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna.
  • Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver.
  • Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that to which the receiver is connected.
  • Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician for help.

The SAR limit of USA (FCC) is 1.6 W/kg averaging over one gram of tissue. This device has also been tested against this SAR limit.
This device complies with Part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is subject to the following two conditions:

  1. This device may not cause harmful interference, and
  2. This device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation.

Any changes or modifications not expressly approved by the party responsible for compliance could void the user’s authority to operate the equipment.
Appendix IC Warnings
This device contains license-exempt transmitter(s)/receiver(s) that comply with Innovation, Science, and Economic Development Canada’s license-ex-empty RSS(s). Operation is subject to the following two conditions:

  1. This device may not cause interference.
  2. This device must accept any interference, including interference that may cause undesired operation of the device.

CANADA SAR
The SAR limit of Canada (ISED) is 1.6 W/kg averaging over one gram of tissue. This device has also been tested against this SAR limit.
