ROUGH COUNTRY Polaris Ranger Rack And Pinion

Thank you for choosing Rough Country for all your vehicle needs. Please read instructions before beginning installation. Check the kit hardware against the kit contents shown below. Be sure you have all needed parts and know where they go. If question exist, please call us @1-800-222-7023. We will be happy to answer any questions concerning this product. Check all fasteners for proper torque. Check to ensure for adequate clearance between  all components.
Periodically check all hardware for tightness

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTONS

  1. Jack up the front of the vehicle and place on jack stands.
  2. Remove the front wheels.
  3. Remove the tie rod end using a 15mm socket/wrench. See Photo 1.
  4. Remove the bolt holding the steering sector to the steering rack using a 13mm  socket/wrench. See Photo 2.

  5. Remove the nuts holding the rack to the chassis using 13mm socket/wrench and remove rack and pinion. See Photo 3 and Photo 4.

  6. Install the new rack and pinion using the supplied 8MM-1.25x100MM in the stock locations. See Photo 5.
  7. Install the tie rod to the rack and pinion. See Photo 6.

  8. Slide the boot onto the tie rod end and secure using a zip tie. See Photo 7 and Photo 8.

    Reconnect the sector shaft to the rack and pinion using the stock hardware and 13mm socket/wrench. See Photo 9.
  9. Install the supplied nut and tie rod end. See Photo 10.
  10. Install the supplied top and bottom stand off in the tie rod end using the supplied 10MM-1.5x80MM socket head bolt.

    Reinstall tie rod end to the knuckle with the supplied nut and tighten using an  8mm Allen wrench and 16mm socket/
    wrench. See Photo 11 and Photo 12.
  11. Put on wheel and lower
    Install top stand off in tie rod end
    Install bottom stand off in tie rod end
