FREDRICK RAMOND T24 JA8-2016 LED Convertible Pendant Ceiling Light

Product Information

The product is a lighting fixture that requires installation and wiring connections. It consists of a mounting plate (M), junction box (J), screws (S), extra mounting hardware (W), canopy (E), knobs (K), mounting plate studs (B), inner glass (4), outer glass (5),
and wiring components.

Product Usage Instructions

Drawing 1 – Installation

1. Secure the mounting plate (M) to the junction box (J) using screws (S). It is recommended to use extra mounting hardware (W) for added security.
2. Make wiring connections using IS-18 wiring instructions on the next page.
3. Lift the canopy (E) towards the ceiling and use knobs (K) and mounting plate studs (B) to lock the canopy in place.
4. Proceed with glass assembly according to steps 4 and 5.

Drawing 2 – Glass Assembly

1. Secure the inner glass (4) by lifting it towards the canopy (E) using knobs (6) to lock it into place.
2. Secure the outer glass (5) using knobs (3).
3. The fixture can now be powered on.

Wiring Instructions

Indoor Fixtures:

1. Connect the positive supply wire (A) to the positive fixture lead (B) using an appropriately sized twist-on connector. Refer to Drawing 1 or 2 for reference.
2. Connect the negative supply wire (C) to the negative fixture lead (D).
3. Refer to the grounding instructions below to complete all electrical connections.

Outdoor Fixtures:

1. Connect the positive supply wire (A) to the positive fixture lead (B) using an appropriately sized twist-on connector. Refer to Drawing 2 or 3 for reference.
2. Connect the negative supply wire (C) to the negative fixture lead (D).
3. Cover the open ends of connectors with silicone sealant to form a watertight seal. If installing a wall mount fixture, use caulk to seal gaps between the fixture mounting plate and the wall to prevent water from entering the outlet box.
4. Refer to the grounding instructions below to complete all electrical connections.

Grounding Instructions

Please read the wiring and grounding instructions (IS 18) provided in the manual and any additional directions before proceeding with installation. It is important to turn off the power supply during installation. If new wiring is required, consult a qualified electrician or local authorities for code requirements.

Assembly Instructions

• Find a clear area in which you can work.
• Unpack fixture and glass from carton.
• Carefully review instructions prior to assembly.

DRAWING 1-INSTALLATION

1. First secure mounting plate (M) to junction box () using screws (S)
   Note: it is recommended to use extra mounting hardware (W) to secure mounting plate
2. Make wiring connections using IS-18 on the next page
3. Lift canopy (E) towards celling and use knobs (K) and mounting plate studs (B) to lock canopy in-place
4. Glass can now be assembled

DRAWING 2-GLASS ASSEMBLY

Make electrical connections from supply wire to fixture lead wires. Refer to instruction sheet (I.S. 18) and follow all instructions to make all necessary wiring connections. Then refer back to this sheet to complete installation of this fixture.

1. Secure inner glass (4) by lifting glass towards canopy (E) using knobs (6) to lock into place
2. Next secure outer glass (5) using knobs (3).
3. Fixture can now be powered on

Indoor Fixtures

1. Connec t positive supply wire (A ) (typically black or the smooth, unmarked side of the two-conduc tor cord) to positive fixture lead (B) with appropriately sized twist on connector – see Dra w ings 1 or 2.
2. Connec t negative supply wire (C) (typically white or the ribbed, marked side of the two-conductor cord) to negative fixture lead (D).
3. Please refer to the grounding instructions below to complete all electrical connections

Outdoor Fixtures

1. Connec t positive supply wire (A) (typically black or the smooth unmarked side of the two-conduc tor cord) to positive fixture lead (B) with appropriately sized twist on connector — see Drawings 2 or 3.
2. Connec t negative supply wire (C) (typically white or the ribbed, marked side of the two-conductor cord) to negative fixture lead (D).
3. Cover open end of connectors with silicone sealant to form a watertight seal.
   If installing a wall mount fixture, use caulk to seal gaps between the fixture mounting plate (backpla te) and the wall. This will help prevent water from entering the outlet box. If the wall surface is lap siding, use caulk and a fixture mounting platform specially.
4. Please refer to the grounding instructions below to complete all electrical connections.

Flush Mount Fixtures
For positive grounding in a 3-wire electrical system, fasten the fixture ground wire (E) (typically copper or green plastic coated) to the fixture mounting strap (M ) with the ground screw (S) – see Draw in g 1.
Note: On straps for screw supported fixtures, first install the two mounting screws in strap. Any remaining tapped hole may be used for the ground screw.

Chain Hung Fixtures
Loop fixture ground wire (E) (typically coppe r or green plastic coated) under the head of the ground screw (S) on fixture mounting strap (M) and connect to the loose end of the fixture ground wire directly to the ground wire of the building system with appropriately sized twist-on connectors – see Draw in g 2.

Post-Mou nt Fixtur es
Connect fixture ground wire (E) (typically copper or green plastic coated) to power supply ground with appropriately sized twist-on connector inside post. Cover open end of connector with silicone sealant to form a watertight seal – see Drawing 3.
