Fingerprint Management Application
When using the ZER01/ZEY01 for the first time, please run the built-in application on your ZER01/ZEY01 with your computer. This application is designed to set passwords and enroll fingerprints.
To run the fingerprint management application on your computer:
- Attach your ZER01/ZEY01 to any available USB port on your computer. The drive should be recognized automatically.
- Click on “BD-ROM Drive(:) FPTool” in the window of “This PC”.
- Go to the “Windows” folder and then double click the app icon “FPTool” to run the application.
Note: Some Anti-Virus programs may block the FingerTool application, please set your Anti-Virus to allow the operation of the application.
Registration for Users
Before you can enrol fingerprints, you must first create your account.
This chapter explains how to register a password and fingerprint.
To set password
- Click “Password”
- Click “Set Password” to register account
- Create your password
- And then click “OK”
To Enroll Fingerprint
- Click “Fingerprint”
- Enter the code you created
- Click on the blank area underneath the finger arrow and the “+” button will appear.
- Enter a FP name and enroll your fingerprint
- Enter a FP name and enroll your fingerprint
Note: We suggest you slightly change the angle of your finger for every attempt, allowing the system to store prints of your pad, both sides, and tip of your finger. Repeat until the scan of your fingerprint is completed.
How to use ZER01/ZEY01 Fingerprint Drive
- Attach the EFG1 to any available USB port on your computer and the drive should be recognized automatically.
- Place your finger (the one that had been enrolled) on the fingerprint sensor with light and even pressure. You will see the light flash. When the fingerprint is authenticated, you will see the secure partition and can access the data stored in this partition as shown below.
Managing Fingerprint
This chapter explains how to add and delete fingerprints.
- Add fingerprint.
- Click “+” to start adding fingerprints.
- Enter a FP name and place your finger on the sensor to register your fingerprint.
- Click “+” to start adding fingerprints.
- Delete fingerprints.
- Choose the fingerprint you want to delete and click the trash icon in the right.
- Click “OK” if you are sure you want to delete the fingerprint.
- Choose the fingerprint you want to delete and click the trash icon in the right.
How to change the account password
- Click “Password”,
- Click “Modify Password”
- Enter the account password
- Enter new password
How to reset the ZER01/ZEY01
Restoring to factory defaults will clear your account password, fingerprint and erase user data.
- Click “Password”,
- Click “Rest password”,
- Follow the prompts, type “OK” and click OK.
- Wait for the reset to complete, then click OK to exit.
How to one-key delete the acccount password and fingerprints
Once you have used this feature, your account password and fingerprint will be deleted.
- Click “Password”,
- Click “Diskable Password”,
- Enter the account password,
- Click “OK”
