WARNING!

Save all warnings and instructions for future reference.
The term “power tool” in the warnings refers to your mains operated (corded) power tool or battery operated (cordless) power tool.

WORK AREA SAFETY

  • Keep work area clean and well lit Cluttered or dark areas invite accidents.
  • Do not operate power tools in explosive atmospheres, such as in the presence of flammable liquids, gases or dust. Power tools create sparks which may ignite the dust or fumes.
  • Keep children and bystanders away while operating a power tool. Distractions can cause you to lose control.

ELECTRICAL SAFETY

  • Power tool plugs must match the outlet. Never modify the plug in any way. Do not use any adapter plugs with earthed (grounded) power tools. Unmodified plugs and matching outlets will reduce risk of electric shock.
  • Avoid body contact with earthed or grounded surfaces, such as pipes There is an increased risk of electric shock if your body is earthed or grounded.
  • Do not expose power tools to rain or wet conditions. Water entering a power tool will increase the risk of electric shock.
  • Do not abuse the cord. Never use the cord for carrying, pulling or unplugging the power tool. Keep cord away from heat, oil, sharp edges or moving parts. Damaged or entangled cords increase the risk of electric shock.
  • If operating a power tool in a damp location is unavoidable, use a residual current device (RCD) protected supply. Use of an RCD reduces the risk of electric shock.

NOTE:

  • The term residual current device (RCD) may be replaced by the term ground fault circuit Interrupter (GFCI) or earth leakage circuit breaker (ELCB).

PERSONAL SAFETY

  • Stay alert, watch what you are doing and use common sense when operating a power tool. Do not use a power tool while you are tired or under the influence of drugs, alcohol or medication. A moment of inattention while operating power tools may result in serious personal injury.
  • Use personal protective equipment. Always wear eye protection. Protective equipment such as dust mask, non-skid safety shoes, hard hat, or hearing protection used for appropriate conditions will reduce personal injuries.
  • Do not overreach. Keep proper footing and balance at all times. This enables better control of the power tool in unexpected situations.
  • Dress properly. Do not wear loose clothing or jewelry. Keep your hair, clothing and gloves away from moving parts. Loose clothes, jewelry or long hair can be caught in moving parts.

POWER TOOL USE AND CARE

  • Do not force the power tool. Use the correct power tool for your application. The correct power tool will do the job better and safer at the rate for which it was designed.
  • Do not use the power tool if the switch does not turn it on and off. Any power tool that cannot be controlled with the switch is dangerous and must be repaired.
  • Store idle power tools out of the reach of children and do not allow persons unfamiliar with the power tool or these instructions to operate the power tool. Power tools are dangerous in the hands of untrained users.
  • Maintain power tools. Check for misalignment or binding of moving parts, breakage of parts and any other condition that may affect the power tools operation. If damaged, have the power tool repaired before use. Many accidents are caused by poorly maintained power tools.
  • Use the power tool, accessories and tool bits etc. in accordance with these instructions, considering the working conditions and the work to be performed. Use of the power tool for operations different from those intended could result in a hazardous situation.

MIXER SAFETY

CAUTION!

Never Perform Any Services Or Maintenance Or Move The Cement Mixer While It is Running. Before Performing Services, Maintenance, Or Moving The Cement Mixer, Turn Off The Mixer First.

  • Never grab and force the Mixer Drum in order to properly stop with your hand or other tools, this work may damage the motor.
  • KEEP A SAFE DISTANCE FROM THE CEMENT MIXER. Keep all people (except the operator) a minimum of six feet from the mixer during operation.
  • DO NOT OVERLOAD THE CEMENT MIXER. An overload may damage the Mixer.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

NOTE: All parts below refer to the parts list.

CAUTION!

  1. Do not attempt to move the Cement Mixer when it is full or in operation.
  2. Place the Cement Mixer on a solid, flat, and level surface that is capable of supporting the weight of the mixer and its load.
  3. NOTE: Filling and emptying the Drum is best done with the Drum rotating. DO not turn off the Cement Mixer while full of cement.
  4. With the Drum operating between 28-31RPM, the Cement Mixer is now ready for the addition of the concrete mix.
  5. To determine the right amount of water, gravel, cement, and sand.
    For best results, proceed as follows:
    • Pour the required amount of water into the Drum
    • Add the required amount of gravel into the Drum.
    • Add the required amount of cement into the Drum.
    • Add the required amount of sand into the Drum.
  6. Allow adequate time for the water, gravel, cement and sand to thoroughly mix.
  7. To discharge the cement mix, grasp the Hand Wheel firmly with one hand and release the Brake Handle. Then, slowly turn the Hand Wheel counterclockwise to empty the Drum.
    CAUTION!
  8. To prevent accidental discharge of the cement mix, do not release the Brake Handle without holding the Hand Wheel firmly. Always make sure the Brake Handle is fully engaged after discharging the concrete mix and before refilling the Drum.
  9. After discharging the cement mix, turn the Hand Wheel clockwise to return the Drum to its original position. Then, make sure to fully engage the Brake Handle.
  10. When finished, make sure to thoroughly clean the inside of the Drum.

MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING

CAUTION

  1. Never perform any services or maintenance on the Cement Mixer while it is running. Before performing services or maintenance, turns off the engine and disconnect the spark plug wire to prevent accidental starting.
  2. Before each use, inspect the general condition of the Cement Mixer. Check for loose screws, misalignment, binding of moving parts, loose or broken parks, and any other condition that may affect its safe operation. If abnormal noise or vibration occurs, turn off the Cement Mixer immediately and have the problem corrected before further use. Do not use damaged equipment.
  3. Retighten the V-belt after the first 24 hours of use. The V-belt should be able to be pressed in no more than 1/4″.
  4. Periodically, recheck all nuts, bolts and screws for tightness.
  5. Thoroughly clean the Cement Mixer at the end of each day’s operation. The Drum Assembly may be scoured for approximately two minutes, using a gravel and water mixture. Then, discharge the gravel/water mixture and hose down the Drum Assembly inside and out.
  6. Dried cement mix should be scraped out of the Drum. Do not beat on the Drum with a shovel or other tools to break up accumulations of dried cement mix, as damage to the Cement Mixer may result.
  7. Do not pour or spray water over the Engine.
  8. Daily check the oil level in the Engine. Refer to the Engine manufacture’s manual/for the type and level of oil recommended, and all other Engine service and maintenance instructions.
  9. Periodically, inspect the Speed Converter Assembly and the Wheel
  10. Bearings for proper lubrication.

Before cleaning, always remove the plug from the mains socket.

  • Clean ventilation slits with a brush.
  • The tool is permanently lubricated and does not require oiling.
