This vacuum sealer features an NTC Intelligent temperature regulation system to guard against overheating. Should the sealing strip‘s temperature surpass the predetermined safety threshold, the device automatically shifts to a protective mode, during which an indicator will blink and the controls become temporarily inactive. When the sealing strip cools down to a secure temperature, typically in about 2 minutes, the flashing indicator ceases, and the machine resumes its standard function.

Note:
For optimal safety, it‘s advisable to allow a 30-second interval between consecutive sealing cycles.

USING THE CUTTER

Lauben-10WT-Vacuum-Sealer-fig- (4)

  1. Remove the cutter from its compartment within the vacuum sealer.
  2. First, make a slight incision on one side of the bag using the cutter.
  3. Hold the bag‘s open end and glide the cutter from one side to the opposite end.

TIPS

  • Fill a bag with water (up to 2/3 full), seal it (without vacuuming), and freeze. This can act as a cooling pad in ice buckets or as an ice pack for sports injuries.
  • Vacuum-sealing extends protection to non-food items, guarding them against oxidation, corrosion, and moisture. This is ideal for items like photos, documents, stamps, books, jewellery, cards, cosmetics, medications, and metals.
  • Use the sealer for marinating. The vacuuming process enhances marination by opening food pores, ensuring flavours are absorbed more quickly.
  • Beware: The sealing strip can get extremely hot. Allow a cooling period of around 90 seconds.
  • For foods with sharp edges like bones or fish, shield the pointy parts with plastic wrap or another bag to avoid bag puncture.
  • Before vacuum-sealing wet foods, it‘s wise to pat them dry or enclose them in a plastic bag or wrap.
  • Vacuum sealing doesn‘t replace the need for canning. Always store perishable items in the fridge or freezer.
  • Vacuuming might occasionally let out minor liquid or food crumbs. Clean the drain groove after every use.
  • Ensure there‘s a 5-7 cm gap at the bag‘s end for proper sealing.
  • When using the film, make sure its edge remains at least 3 cm away from the contained items.
  • Avoid sealing along edges that have pre-existing factory seals.
  • Prevent bag wrinkles by smoothing the film’s surface before vacuum-sealing.
  • For food safety reasons, refrain from vacuum-sealing fresh mushrooms, onions, garlic, and soft cheeses.
  • Be mindful: Vegetables can release gases, causing vacuum bags to bloat after several days. Pre-freezing veggies and storing them refrigerated is advised.
