Connecting the transceiver

Plug the DEM-330R / DEM-330T transceiver into the SFP port of your switch. Connect a fiber cable to the DEM-330R / DEM-330T transceiver in order to connect your switch to fiber media.

The DEM-330R / DEM-330T transceiver is hot pluggable. You can connect the transceiver while the system is powered on without causing any issues, and easily plug or unplug the transceiver without interrupting the network operation.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR SAFE OPERATION

Read this section carefully before installing and connecting the device. Make sure that the device and cables are not mechanically damaged. The device must be used only for its intended purpose, in accordance with the quick installation guide.

The device is designed to operate in a dry, clean, dust-free and well ventilated room with normal humidity, away from powerful heat sources. Do not use it outdoors or in places with high humidity. Do not place on the device foreign objects. The ambient temperature in the immediate vicinity of device and inside its case should be in the range from 0 to +70 °C. The power supply must comply with the power supply parameters specified in the technical device characteristics.

Do not open the case of the device! Before cleaning the device from dirt and dust, unplug device power. Remove dust with a damp cloth. Do not use liquid/aerosol cleaners or magnetic/static cleaners.

Avoid moisture entering the device. The service life of the device is 2 years. The warranty period is calculated from the date of purchase of the device from an authorized dealer for territory of Russia and the CIS countries and is one year.

Regardless of the date of sale, the warranty period cannot exceed 2 years from the date of purchase. the production of the product, which is determined by the 6 (year) and 7 (month) digits of the serial number, indicated on the technical data label.

Year: C – 2012, D – 2013, E – 2014, F – 2015, G – 2016, H – 2017, I – 2018, J – 2019, 0 – 2020, 1 – 2021. Month: 1 – January, 2 – February, …, 9 – September, A – October, B – November, C – December. If you find a malfunction of the device, contact the service center or group D-Link technical support.

The DEM-330R/10KM and DEM-330T/10KM transceivers work in pairs. The DEM-330R/3KM and DEM-330T/3KM transceivers work in pairs. Connecting the transceiver Connect the DEM-330R / DEM-330T transceiver to the switch’s SFP port. To connect switch to a fiber optic line, connect the fiber optic cable to transceiver DEM-330R / DEM-330T.

The DEM-330R / DEM-330T transceiver is hot pluggable. Connecting the transceiver to a powered device will not cause any problems. This allows you to connect or disconnect the transceiver without interrupting the rest of the networks.
