CHECK THE RADIANT HEATER

RISK OF DAMAGE!
The product may be damaged if you open the package carelessly with a sharp knife or another pointed object. Be very careful when opening it.

  1. Remove the packaging material and all of the protective film (if present).
  2. Take the product out of the packaging.
  3. Check whether the product is damaged. If this is the case, do not use the product. Contact your dealer or the manufacturer.

PROPER USE
The product is intended for the temporary heating of a surface at least 100 cm away. Switch off the appliance after no more than 10 minutes. The radiant heater is only suitable for private use in the home and not for commercial use or for heating an entire room. Using the product for any other purpose than specified in this information is deemed to be improper use. This may result in property damage or personal injury caused by incorrect or improper use.

FIRST USE
In order to operate the appliance, the mounting step must first be observed. Once properly mounted, the plug can be inserted in the socket (check that the appliance is in switch position 0 before doing so). The pull cod switch can then be switched to level 1 or 2. To switch off, the switch must be pulled repeatedly so that the position of the display changes to 0.

MOUNTING / FASTENING THE RADIANT HEATER ON THE WALL

  • Hold the sketch of the drill holes at the location you have selected on the wall
  • Drill the holes and then attach the radiant wall heater (Caution: The rawlplugs provided are not suitable for all wall materials. Please use suitable rawlplugs for your wall)

SAFETY INFORMATION FOR THE WALL MOUNTING

  • The radiant wall heater may only be mounted on a wall in a fixed and horizontal position. It is not permitted to mount the heater on a ceiling or sloping roof due to the heat generation and heat dissipation!
  • The following points must be observed on the wall: The radiant heater must not be mounted on wood, plastic or other combustible materials!
  • The position must comply with the distances stipulated in sketch!
  • Minimum distances: ceiling distance: at least 35 cm / distance to other objects (e.g. lamps): at least 65 cm / distance to an irradiated surface (e.g. workbench / winding table): 100 cm
  • We do not recommend installing the heater in damp rooms (e.g. bathrooms). If you wish to choose this room, please inform yourself about the prescribed laws, such as VDE0100 in Germany. This stipulates the position of electrical appliances in damp rooms and specifies the protection zones in bathrooms.

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

  • Use the appliance only for the use described here as improper use will result in loss of the warranty.
  • Risk of electric shock!
  • Faulty electrical installations or mains voltage that is too high can result in an electric shock.
  • Only connect the product if the mains voltage at the socket matches the required operating voltage of the product and use an easily accessible mains socket so that you can disconnect the product from the mains quickly in the event of a fault.
  • Do not use the product if there is damage to the housing or plug. There is a risk of electric shock in the event of damage to the housing! Risk of death!
  • Do not open or modify the product!
  • Never cover the product when during operation. Risk of fire!
  • Never touch the mains plug with wet hands.
  • Never submerge the product in water or other liquids. Avoid dripping water. Always keep the product dry.
  • Use the product only indoors. Never operate it in damp rooms or in the rain.
  • If you are not using the product or if a fault arises, always switch off the product and disconnect it from the power source.
  • The heating tube cannot be replaced. When the tube comes to the end of its service life, the complete product must be replaced.
  • Failure to observe the safety instructions can result in dangerous injuries to persons or damage to the appliance!
  • This product is not to be used by persons (including children) who have restricted physical, sensory or mental capabilities or who do not have adequate experience and knowledge in handling this product.
  • Keep the product and the packaging away from children.
  • Do not allow children to play with the packaging film. They could become caught in it while playing and suffocate.
  • Never use the appliance without supervision
  • The maximum exposure time must not exceed 15 minutes on a low power level.
  • The exposure distance must never be less than 100 cm.
  • The power cable must not come anywhere near hot parts of the appliance.
  • Neighbouring appliances such as lamps must be positioned clear of hot parts.
  • Do not touch during operation. Risk of injury!
  • Do not use this heater with a programme switch, timer, separate telecontrol system or any other device that automatically switches on the heater as there is a risk of fire if the heater is covered or incorrectly positioned.
  • The product is still warm for a few minutes after switching it off so the housing must not be touched.
  • Remove all packaging parts and film before use.
  • Do not use the appliance within the reach of children. The connecting cable must also be securely attached.
  • Repairs must never be carried out by yourself. Never open the housing.
  • Always disconnect the appliance from the mains when it is not in use.
  • The appliance may emit an unpleasant, burning smell when it is first used. This is normal and disappears after a short period of operation.
  • This appliance is intended for fixed installation
  • Do not use this heater in the immediate vicinity of a bathtub, shower or swimming pool! It is not permitted to mount the heater in damp rooms. The VDE0100 protection zones must be observed.
  • Do NOT place this appliance under a wall socket or combustible material.
  • These instructions for use are part of the appliance and must be stored in a safe place. If the product changes ownership, these instructions must be handed over to the new owner!
  • Additional heat radiation from other appliances or, for example, solar radiation, should be avoided.
  • Infants with elevated temperatures must not be exposed to radiation.
  • In the case of heat radiation for infants, only the lower power level may be used.
  • Children under 3 years of age must be kept away unless they are constantly monitored.
  • Children from 3 years of age and younger than 8 years of age may only switch the appliance on and off if they are supervised or instructed about the safe use of the appliance and have understood the dangers arising from it, provided that the appliance is placed or installed in its normal working position. Children from 3 years of age and younger than 8 years of age must not plug the plug into the wall socket, clean the appliance and/or perform the user maintenance.
  • Caution – Some parts of the product can become very hot and cause burns.
  • Take special care when children and persons in need of protection are present.
  • The appliance must not be placed near curtains or other combustible materials.

Do not hang anything over / cover the product!

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

  • Carry out cleaning tasks only when the plug is removed from the mains power!
  • Clean the product only with a slightly damp cloth, then rub it dry.
  • Never submerge the product in water or other liquids!
  • Do not allow any fluid to enter the housing.
  • Do not use hard brushes or sharp objects for cleaning purposes.

IMPROPER USE OF THE RADIANT WALL HEATER MAY RESULT IN IT BEING DAMAGED:

  • Do not throw or drop it
  • Use it only in its original condition
  • Do not use it while still in the packaging
  • Switch it off after use

RISK OF DAMAGE!

  • Improper handling of the product can result in damage.
  • Do not continue to use the heater if the components of the appliance are cracked, split or deformed.
  • Do not expose the appliance to extreme temperatures or severe mechanical loads. Otherwise, this can result in deformation of the product.

ENVIRONMENTAL INFORMATION | DISPOSAL

  • Dispose of packaging after sorting by material type. Cardboard to the waste paper and film to the recycling collection.
  • Dispose of the unusable product in accordance with legal provisions. The „waste bin“ symbol indicates that it is not permitted to dispose of electrical equipment in household waste in the EU. Use the return and collection systems in your area or contact the dealer from whom you purchased the product.
  • For disposal, pass the product on to a specialist disposal point for old equipment. Do not dispose of the appliance with household waste.

WARRANTY INFORMATION

You can find our warranty terms online at www.HyCell.de. The warranty does not apply to damage to the appliance arising through failure to comply with the operating instructions. Your statutory warranty rights are not affected by this. Subject to technical changes. In case of a warranty claim, please use the enclosed warranty card and contact the respective contact person.
