Unpacking:
  • During transportation, protective packaging was used to protect the appliance against any damage. After unpacking, please dispose of all elements of packaging in a way that will not cause damage to the environment.
  • CAUTION: During unpacking, the packaging materials (polythene bags, polystyrene pieces, etc.) should be kept out of reach of children.
Risk of Fire:
  • If the refrigerant circuit should become damaged. Avoid open flames and sources of ignition. Disconnect the appliance from the mains power. Thoroughly ventilate the room in which the appliance is situated for several minutes.

Disposing:
  • Old appliances should not simply be disposed of with normal household waste, but should be delivered to a collection and recycling centre for electric and electronic equipment. A symbol shown on the product, the instruction manual or the packaging shows that it is suitable for recycling.
  • Materials used inside the appliance are recyclable and are labelled with information concerning this. By recycling materials or other parts from used devices you are making a significant contribution to the protection of our environment.

INSTALLATION

SELECTING A SUITABLE LOCATION

Before using the unit, remove all packaging materials including bottom cushions, foam pads, and tapes inside the cooler. Remove the protective film on the door and the cooler body.
When selecting a position for your unit, ensure the floor is flat and firm, and the room is well ventilated. Avoid placing your unit near a heat source (ie, oven, radiator, or hot water system). Avoid direct sunlight as it may increase the electrical consumption. Extreme cold temperatures may also cause the unit to not perform correctly. This unit is not designed for use in a garage or outdoors. Do not drape the unit with any covering.
When installing the unit, ensure that 10cm of free space is allowed to the left, right and rear of the unit, and 30cm at the top. This will allow cold air to circulate around the unit and improve the efficiency of the cooling process.

POWER SOURCE AND GROUNDING
It’s recommended to use the cooler on its own dedicated power outlet for both convenience and safety. The power outlet must be grounded.
Important! If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by Kogan.com or an authorised service agent on Kogan.com’s behalf. Cease use and ensure the appliance is completely disconnected from the power supply.

Before using your unit
  • The cooler should sit for half an hour before connecting power when it is first started.
  • Important! Before plugging in your cooler, you must check that you have a power outlet which is compatible with the plug supplied on the appliance lead.
  • Do not connect cooler to electronic energy saving plug or DC-to-AC converter (ie, solar energy system, ship grid).
  • Do not use when the power cord is damaged or the plug is worn.
  • Do not alter the power cord under any circumstances, so as to ensure safe use.
  • Do not put flammable, explosive, volatile and highly corrosive items in the cooler to prevent damages to the product or fire accidents.
  • Do not place flammable items near the cooler to avoid fires.
  • Water droplets or frost will be generated on back side of wine cooler when compressor is running, which is decided by function of cooler.
    Wiping out frost or water droplets is not needed as the back will wipe them out automatically. The defrosted water will be collected into drain tank, then inflow into water disposal pan above the compressor and vaporized.
Noise from your fridge
  • You may notice that your cooler makes some unusual noises. This is completely normal for refrigerators and freezers, and the noises are caused by the circulation of the refrigerant liquid within the cooling system.

Display control
In the case of initial power-up, the whole screen will display relevant information for 3s, and the start-up tone will sound, followed by enabling of normal operation display.
Digital display area will display the fault code in the case of failure and the set temperature of the corresponding refrigeration chamber in the case of no failure.

NOTE
This wine cooler can be controlled by gently touching buttons on the glass touchscreen. The display panel should be prevented from scratching by sharp objects, and kept away from high-intensity magnetic field and high-humidity environments. If not, normal setting and operation of the wine cooler may be affected.

Standby function
Long-press the standby button for 5s to enter/exit the standby mode.

Light
The internal lamp will be on when open the cooler door, and will be off when close the cooler door. Users also can turn on/off the internal lamp by pressing the light button. Once the light button is activated, the internal lamp will not be controlled by actions of door opening/closing.

Temperature setting
Pressing the Temperature increase button button once, the set temperature increases 1°.
Pressing the Temperature decrease button button once, the set temperature drops 1°.
The temperature setting range of the upper zone is 5~14°C (41~57°F), and the temperature setting range of lower zone is 10~18°C (50~64°F), all temperature settings take effect automatically after 30 seconds.

Convert Centigrade (°C) to Fahrenheit (°F)
Long press Temperature increase button and Temperature decrease button simultaneously for 5 second to switch between Centigrade and Fahrenheit.

Temperature difference between upper and lower zone
The set temperature of the upper zone must always be lower than the set temperature of the lower zone. The difference between them should be in the scope of 2~8°C.

If the temperature of upper zone is 10°C, the temperature range of lower zone should be 12~18°C

If the set temperature of upper zone is 11 °C, the temperature setting range of lower zone should be 13~18°C

If the set temperature of lower zone is 12 °C when the user adjusts the set temperature of upper zone from 10°C to 11°C, the set temperature of lower zone will change to 13°C automatically.

Bottle arrangement

  • In order to maintain good air circulation in the cooler, do not let bottles touch the back side of wine cooler.
  • The capacity for bottle storage in the wine cabinet is based on the following marked bottle size. Oversized bottles, or other bottles with different shapes and sizes, may have impact on the number of bottle storage in the wine cabinet.

Tips for wine storage

  • Do not store bottled wine by box or case in cooler.
  • The cork of the old bottle shall always be soaked in the wine when putting into wine cooler. Air space is not allowed between wine and cork.
  • Open-type bottle shelf is helpful, as it does not cut off air circulation.
    The air moisture that condensed on bottle can be dried out swiftly.
  • Some wines shall be left to sit before drinking. For example, put pink-red wine onto the table 2-5 hours before drinking and red wine 4-5 hours, for it to reach suitable serving temp. White wine, however, can be served right on the table. Sparkling wine shall always be stored in cooler and taken out only before drinking.
  • Please notice that wine’s temperature is always lower than ideal serving temp, as the temperature will immediately rise 1 to 2°C when pouring into wine glass.

Energy saving advice

  • The cooler shall be placed in room dry and ventilated. The cooler cannot be put under direct sunlight or next to heat source (such as radiator, stove, etc.) and a suitable insulation board shall be applied if necessary.
  • Try to shorten opening time of cooler’s door.

Phillips head screwdriver, flat-blade screwdriver, and hexagonal spanner.

NOTE
Ensure unit is unplugged and empty.

2. Reversing the door swing
a. Dismantle the shaft hole cap (1) and the upper sleeve (2) of the upper part of the glass door assembly, and dismantle screws (3), the door light switch block (4), the door stopper (5) and screws, and the lower sleeve (6) of the lower part of the assembly.

b. Rotate the door assembly 180 degrees.

c. Exchange the position of the upper sleeve (2) and the shaft plug (1), and move the door stopper (5) and the lower sleeve (6) from the lower right to the lower left.

d. Assemble the sleeves, the shaft hole cap, the stopper and the switch block. Following this, you’re ready to replace the door on the unit.

3. Door handle install

TOOLS REQUIRED
Allen key

a. Place the handle on the glass door via the two bolts. Ensure the holes in the door handle are facing downwards.
b. Using an Allen key, tighten the door in place.
c. Installation is complete.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

WARNING! To avoid an electric shock, always unplug your fridge before cleaning.

Cleaning the inner cabinet

  • Caution: Before using any cleaning products, please read and follow the manufacturer’s instructions and warnings to avoid any damage to your fridge or personal injury.
  • Dusts behind the wine cooler and on the ground shall be regularly cleaned to improve the cooling effect and energy saving.
  • Check the door gasket regularly to make sure there is no debris.
  • Clean the door gasket with a soft cloth dampened with soapy water or diluted detergent.
  • The interior of the wine cooler should be cleaned regularly to avoid odour.
  • Please turn off the power before cleaning, remove drinks, shelves, etc.
  • Use a soft cloth or sponge to clean the inside of the wine cooler, with two tablespoons of baking soda and a quart of warm water. Then rinse with water and dry with a soft cloth. After cleaning, open the door and let it dry naturally before turning on the power.
  • For areas that are difficult to clean in the wine cooler (such as narrow sandwiches, gaps or corners), it is recommended to wipe them regularly with a soft rag, soft brush, etc. and when necessary, combined with some auxiliary tools (such as pipe cleaners) to ensure no contaminants or bacteria accumulation in these areas.
  • Do not use soap, detergent, scrub powder, spray cleaner, etc., as these may cause odours in the interior of the wine cooler or cause contamination.
  • Clean the shelves with a soft cloth dampened with soapy water or diluted detergent. Then rinse with water and dry with a soft cloth or dry naturally.
  • The wooden wine rack should not be directly immersed in liquid to prevent cracking or mould after moisture. The wooden wine rack is cleaned with a dry soft cloth. The heavily contaminated wooden wine rack should be cleaned with a soft cloth that has been wrung out, and dry naturally.

  • Wipe the outer surface of the wine cooler with a soft cloth dampened with soap water, detergent, etc., and then wipe dry. Do not rub or scratch the surface of the glass door to prevent the door from being broken or scratched.
  • Do not use hard brushes, clean steel balls, wire brushes, abrasives(such as toothpastes), organic solvents (such as alcohol, acetone, banana oil, etc.), boiling water, acid or alkaline items, which may damage the wine cooler surface and interior. Boiling water and organic solvents such as benzene may deform or damage plastic parts.
  • Do not rinse directly with water or other liquids during cleaning to avoid short circuits or affect electrical insulation after immersion. Water should not soak the operating control elements and lighting system on the glass door.
Cleaning tips
  • Condensation may appear on the outside of the unit. This may be due to a change in room temperature. Wipe of any moisture residue.
    If the problem continues, please contact a qualified technician for assistance.
Disposal
  • Old units still have some residual value. An environmentally friendly method of disposal will ensure that valuable raw materials can be recovered and used again. The refrigerant used in your unit and insulation materials require special disposal procedures. Ensure that none of the pipes on the back of the unit are damaged prior to disposal. Up to date information concerning options of disposing of your old unit and packaging from the new one can be obtained from your local council office.
  • When disposing of an old unit break of any old locks or latches and remove the door as a safeguard.

BASIC TROUBLESHOOTING

Cooler isn’t operating

  • Check that the cooler is plugged in and connected to power.
  • Check whether voltage is too low.
  • Check that a fuse hasn’t blown or circuit tripped.

Cooler is making strange odour

  • Ensure that the interior is clean.
    Refer to cleaning instructions.

Cooler compressor is continuously running

  • It is normal for the cooler compressor to operate for longer periods of time when the ambient temperature is higher (ie. Summer).
  • Do not overstock the cooler with too many wine bottles.
  • Try to minimise the frequency of the door opening.

Illuminating light does not work

  • Ensure the cooler is connected to power.
  • Check that the globe hasn’t blown.

The cooler door doesn’t close properly

  • Ensure that bottles aren’t preventing the door from closing.
  • Ensure that the cooler is completely level and positioned correctly.
  • Ensure the cooler door gaskets/seals are clean.

The cooler is making loud noises

  • It’s normal for the cooler to make noises when refrigerant coolant is being circulated.
  • Check that the cooler is correctly levelled.
