Installation Instructions

  1. Raise and properly support your vehicle with jack stands. Refer to your owner’s manual for correct jacking points.
  2. Place a drain pan under the transmission oil pan. Loosen all pan attaching bolts to within a few turns of removal. Carefully break the gasket seal to allow the fluid to drain.
  3. Once most of the fluid has drained, remove the pan and let the remaining fluid drain into the drain pan.
  4. Remove the oil filter.
  5. Install a new filter and torque it to 80-100 in. lbs.
  6. Clean the transmission flange surface with a safe solvent and allow it to dry.
  7. Place the new gasket on the cast pan and then install the pan with the supplied hardware. Torque the bolts to 12-16 ft.-lbs.
  8. Add three quarts of recommended transmission fluid as specified in the owner’s manual. Additional fluid will be required after starting the vehicle.
  9. Lower the vehicle.
  10. Start the engine and move the gear selector through the shift pattern.
  11. Check the fluid level according to the owner’s manual.
