PLI (Power Line Instruction)
The PICO C4-MAX module supports Lumitec’s PLI protocol for sending digital commands. To set color and brightness instantly, use the Lumitec POCO system or a compatible interface device such as an MFD, smartphone, or tablet. Analog Toggle Switch & Status Indicator Messages
The module has an analog toggle switch and status indicator messages:
- OFF: No power input (V+ to both RED and ORANGE wires and V- to BLACK wire)
- Steady Red: Power applied / Output off
- Steady Green: Power applied / Output on
- Blinking Red or Orange Blink: Fault / Error / PLI Message Received
5-Wire RGBW Output Connections
Connect the wires as follows:
- YELLOW: Main RGB/RGBW LED positive output
- GREEN, BLUE, RED: RGB/RGBW LED negative outputs
- WHITE: RGBW only LED negative output (disconnect for RGB only)
Orange Signal Wire & Power Input
Connect the ORANGE signal wire to the desired output channel of the POCO Digital Control Module or to an SPST control switch for analog toggle control. The 2-wire power input has a RED positive (V+) input with a 10 Amp fuse included.

POWER LINE INSTRUCTION
PLI (POWER LINE INSTRUCTION):
Digital commands can be sent through the C4-MAX module using Lumitec’s proprietary PLI protocol to instantly set color and brightness. The Lumitec POCO and compatible interface device (e.g. MFD, smart phone, tablet, etc.) can be used to issue PLI commands to the module.

ANALOG TOGGLE SWITCH
C4 MAX may be controlled by any SPST (e.g. toggle or rocker) switch connected to the orange signal wire. Commands can be sent to the module with brief off/on toggles of the signal power. When first energized, module will illuminate the connected RGB/RGBW device to white and ramp up in brightness over a period of 3 seconds. To select a brightness, the ramp up can be interrupted and locked-in at any time with a single toggle. Toggle again to switch into SPECTRUM mode where the light will cycle through a mix of all available colors within 20 seconds. Toggle at any time to enter a 3-second ramp up in brightness for the current color. Just like on start up, the brightness ramp up can be interrupted at any time to select and lock-in the brightness level. Leaving the signal power off for more than 4 seconds will reset the module.

Lumitec Limited Warranty:
The product is warranted to be free from defects in workmanship and materials for a period of three (3) years from the date of original purchase. Lumitec is not responsible for product failure caused by abuse, neglect, improper installation, or failure in applications other than those for which it was designed, intended, and marketed. Lumitec, Inc. assumes no responsibility whatsoever for any damage, loss, or injury that may result from the incorrect installation of this product, including but not limited to structural damage due to water intrusion, electrical malfunction or vessel sinking when used in marine applications.
Should your Lumitec product prove defective during the warranty period, promptly notify Lumitec for a return authorization number and return product with freight prepaid. Lumitec will, at its option, repair or replace the product or defective portion without charge for parts or labor, or, at Lumitec’s option, refund purchase price. Products repaired or replaced under this warranty shall be warranted for the unexpired portion of the warranty applying to the original product(s). No warranty or affirmation of fact, express or implied, other than as set forth in the limited warranty statement above is made or authorized by Lumitec, Inc. Any liability for consequential and incidental damages is expressly disclaimed. Lumitec liability in all events is limited to, and shall not exceed, the purchase price paid.
