Intended use
ROTHENBERGER main jaws (ZBR Standard, Compact) with press rings are exclusively intended for use with ROTHENBERGER pressing tools as well as with pressing units with compatible main jaw holders and a constant axial thrust of 32 to 34 kN (ZBR Standard), or 19 to 20 kN (ZBR Compact). Any other use or uses which go beyond this are not valid for intended use.
ROTHENBERGER will not be liable for any damage resulting from invalid use. The user will be solely responsible for the risk. Another component part of the intended use is the reading and following of the Operating Instructions and the Inspection and Maintenance Conditions.
Operating
The main jaw with press rings may only be operated by qualified specialist craftsmen from the sanitation/heating/air conditioning area after successful training.
Inspection: After 10.000 pressings / 12 months.
Maintenance: We recommend that repairs be done only by our authorized service facilities.
Have your main jaw with press ring checked at the latest 1 year after the purchase or after 10.000 pressings (according to which occurs first) by an authorised ROTHENBERGER testing centre, and repeat these checks at the latest 1 year or another 10.000 pressings after the previous inspection. During main jaw with press ring inspection the main jaws with press ring are checked for operating and functional safety and wear parts (e.g. springs) are exchanged.
Main jaw with press ring which are functionally and operationally safe are returned to you.
Caution: The nominal width and the pressing contour of the fitting must match the nominal width and contour of the press rings. Non-compliance leads to incorrect compression. Follow the fitting manufacturer’s assembly instructions.
In case the Press Ring is stuck on the fitting after crimping, release it smoothly by inserting a flat screwdriver into the Press Ring‘s front slot.
