Electrical Shock Hazard: This appliance is provided with either a polarized (one wide blade) or grounded (3-prong) plug to reduce the risk of electric shock. The plug fits only one way into a polarized or grounded outlet. Do not defeat the safety purpose of the plug by modifying the plug in any way or by using an adapter. If the plug does not fit fully into the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, have an electrician replace the outlet.

The length of the cord used on this appliance was selected to reduce the hazards of becoming tangled in or tripping over a longer cord. If a longer cord is necessary, an approved extension cord may be used. The electrical rating of the extension cord must be equal to or greater than the rating of the appliance. If the appliance is of the grounding type, the extension cord should be a grounding-type, 3-wire cord. Care must be taken to arrange the extension cord so that it will not drape over the countertop or tabletop where it can be pulled on by children or accidentally tripped over.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the cooking surface’s length and width?

Cooking area dimensions are 20″L x 10″W.

The top either lifts off or fastens on?

It rests on top and lifts off; there is no way to fasten it.

Are these effective?

They perform well, yes. They are excellent for preparing foods for breakfast.

Does it need to be greased before use?

This griddle’s nonstick covering eliminates the need for lubrication when in use. However, some foods have a built-in propensity to stick. We advise pre-oiling your griddle if you discover that food sticks. Before preheating, spray the griddle with a vegetable oil spray, and then wipe it off with oil using a cloth or brush.

Is it supposed to stop producing heat once the desired temperature is reached?

No. The probe is a thermostat that controls temperature. The surface temperature of the griddle will remain at that level once it reaches the desired temperature.

Our ceramic top isn’t perfectly smooth. It has an extremely gritty sandpaper feel. Is this typical?

The one I have is not glass-smooth, but it is also not like sandpaper. But it functions flawlessly.

Because it is composed of aluminium, will the bottom of the grill plate get grey when washed in the dishwasher?

Mine had a gray/aluminum underbelly to begin with. Even after numerous dishwasher washes, the colour of the copper section has never changed. This griddle is great.

Is this made of Teflon or a comparable material that has a different name to sound more secure?

Although ceramic, which is naturally nonstick and not teflon, is described as the top coating, it is not as durable as goods with ceramic coating made by Le Creuset, which last a lifetime. Unfortunately, in my experience, the ceramic coating is rather thin, readily chips, and loses its “non stick” properties after a few weeks of everyday use.

How is a Hamilton Beach electric griddle cleaned?

These well-known nonstick griddles are exceptionally simple to clean after use and continue to look great. Simply cut the cord, then place the entire griddle in the dishwasher. Because the heat setting on the Hamilton Beach® Griddle is changeable, you can cook food at the ideal temperature.

How is a Hamilton Beach Grill used?

Using the Searing Grill for cooking is simple. Just plug it in and raise the temperature dial to the sear setting. The green preheat light will glow when it reaches the searingly hot 450 degrees. You’re now prepared to sear steaks, hamburgers, pork chops, or fish fillets to absolute perfection.

Does my griddle need to be cleaned after every use?

Before using your new Blackstone griddle for the first time, it must be cleaned and seasoned. This initial cleaning aids in removing dust that accumulates during shipping as well as residues left over from the manufacturing process. To keep your grill functioning at its best, clean it after each cooking session.
