Additional Warning

  1. Do not look directly into the projector light.
  2. Do not touch the projector lens.
  3. Mains adapter is used as disconnect and it should remain readily operable during intended use. In order to disconnect the apparatus from the mains completely, the mains plug should be disconnected from the mains socket completely.
  4. CAUTION: Use of controls or adjustments or performance of procedures other than those specified may result in hazardous radiation exposure.
  5. WARNING: Changes or modified to this unit not expressly approved by the party responsible for compliance could void the user’s authority to operate the equipment.
  6. WARNING: Use of this unit near fluorescent lighting may cause interference regarding use of the remote. If the unit is displaying erratic behavior move away from any fluorescent lighting, as it may be the cause.
  7. WARNING: Shock hazard – DO NOT OPEN.
  8. Caution and marking information is located at the rear or bottom of the apparatus.
  9. WARNING: To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, do not expose this apparatus to rain, moisture, dripping, or splashing.

Fit the Handle to the Projector

  • Remove the tape and fit the handle to the projector using the buttons found on both sides of the unit.

Turning On

  1. Plug in the DC jack to the unit. The indicator light will turn red)
  2. Press the Power button Emerson-EVP-1001-Home-Theater-480P-LCD-Projector-fig-3, The indicator light will turn green.

Turning Off

  1. Press the Power buttonEmerson-EVP-1001-Home-Theater-480P-LCD-Projector-fig-3 twice to turn off the unit.
  2. Unplug the power adapter.

Note

  • Please turn off the projector before unplugging the power source, so as not to affect the life and operation of the projector.

Distance Between the Projector and the Screen

It is recommended to place the projector in front of the center of the screen

Placing Your Projector

Your projector can be installed in four different configurations (see picture below):

  • Table mounting front:
    • Select this location with the projector is placed in front of the screen. This is the most common way to position the projector for quick setup and portability.
  • Ceiling mounting front:
    • Select this location when the projector is mounted upside down at the ceiling in front of the screen.

NOTE: A projector mount is required to mount the projector on the ceiling.

  • Table mounting rear:
    • Select this location if you want to place the projector at the rear of the screen.
      • NOTE: That a special rear projection screen is required.
  • Ceiling mounting rear:
    • Select this location when the projector is mounted upside down at the ceiling at the rear of the screen.

NOTE

  • That a projector mount and a rear projection screen is required to mount the projector on the ceiling.

Placing Your Proiector On Ceiling

When you mount the projector on the ceiling, make sure you purchase a projector mount that is recommended for this use and follow the instructions that come with the mount. Before installing the projector on the ceiling, please check to make sure the ceiling structure can support the weight of the projector and the mount. If in doubt, please ask the advice from an installation professor.

  • Projector mount and screw(s) not included.

Install/Remove Battery Of Remote

Remove the battery compartment cover on the back of your remote by carefully sliding it open. The battery cover can then be lifted away. Fit the correct batteries (2 X AAA batteries not included), referring to the polarity markings. Finally, replace the cover.

Please note:

  • Batteries shall not be exposed to excessive heat such as direct sunlight, fire.
  • Be sure to check the correct polarity when installing the batteries
  • Do not mix old and new batteries.
  • Only use type AAA/LR03/UM4 type batteries
  • Do not throw batteries into fire because it may explode.
  • Never try to recharge a single use battery.
  • Do not mix alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc), or rechargeable (ni-cad, ni-mh, etc.) batteries.

Connection Instruction

Select an Input Source

You will see the picture below when the projector has been turned on.
You can choose between the different input sources (AV/ HDMI / Media Player) by pressing the “Source” button on the projector touch panel or remote control. You can connect different devices to the projector, according to the following connection instruction:

Multimedia Connection

Insert USB / Micro SD card into the corresponding slots (as shown in the picture). Choose Media source, then select “Video”, “Music” or “Picture”

HDMI Device Connection

  • The projector can connect to devices with an HDMI input function.
  • It is compatible with laptops, DVD players, Blu-ray players, Chromecast, TV Stick, etc.

Please note: AN HDMI cable is not included

AV Video Device Connection

Connect the projector’s AV interface with an AV cable(not included) as shown in the images below.

Audio Device Connection

  • The projector can connect to a headphone and a wired audio system using a 3.5mm jack (not included).

  1. Picture Mode
    • Select Dynamic, User (custom), Mid, or Standard
  2. Contrast, Brightness, etc.
    • Set Picture Mode to “User” to adjust these settings. Tint can only be adjusted in AV and NTSC IN
  3. Color Temperature
    • Select Warm, Cool, or Medium.
  4. Noise Reduction
    • Select Off, Low, Middle, High or Default

FAQ

  • Q: The projector is not turning on.
    • A: Make sure the AC power cable is plugged in correctly. Then press the power switch on the projector’s panel or use the remote control to turn it on.
  • Q: The projector is turned on, but no image is displayed
    • A: CD Please make sure your device is connected to the projector correctly.
      1. Check the lens cover has been removed.
      2. Check if the input signal source is correct, then switch into projection mode.
      3. Please make sure that video source is equal to our under 1080P
      4. If it is still not working. Please contact your support provider for further support
  • Q: The Lamp (Bulb) switches off after a period of time
    1. A: leave the projector to cool for a few moments.
    2. Once cooled, check if anything is blocking the ventilation vents.
    3. Turn on the projector
      If the issue persists please contact your support provider.
  • Q: When playing a video, there is an image but no sound
    • A: If you connect to your laptop via a HDMI adapter, the audio cable of the adapter needs to be plugged into the audio output port from your laptop to the projector using a 3.5mm audio jack.
      If the issue persists please contact your support provider for further assistance.
  • Q: Spots on the screen
    • A: Using a vacuum cleaner to clean the lens. If cleaning doesn’t resolve things, please contact your support provider for further assistance.
  • Q: I get a blurry image?
    • A: The recommended projection distance is 1-3meters. Please adjust the focus to get a clear image. The optimal focus is obtained when the pixels are clearly visible. If the projection size is too large, the focus near the screen edges may be less sharp than at the screen center.
  • Q: My projector noise is too loud, is it broken?
    • A: The projector noise comes from the fan of its cooling system. The projector generates heat during operation as the light bubble produces strong light to make a bright image. It’s normal for the projector to make a loud noise. The brighter the image, the louder the speaker to the projector to cover up the noise.
  • Q: Can you adjust the brightness/sharpness of the video?
    • A: Set up (Click “Source”)-Picture-Picture Mode(Choose “User”)-Adjust via remote control. For non-professionals, we recommend using the default value.
