Birdfy Nest Quick Guide
To start using your Birdfy Nest, you should:
- Fully charge the camera for 10 hours with the provided cable (DC5V / 2A).
- Install the exterior camera (p6-8).
- Download our app and sign up for an account (p5).
- Press and hold the power button to turn on the camera, and pair the camera with your phone following the in-app instructions.
- Find a suitable spot to mount your Birdfy Nest (p9-11).
- Connect your Birdfy Nest to the solar panel (p12).
- Wait for your first residents to move in!

Setting up With the Birdfy App

Please download the Birdfy App from the App Store or Google Play and follow the in-app instructions to complete the set-up process.
Status Light
This product uses status light to communicate.

Assembling Your Birdfy Nest
Installing the exterior camera
Step 1: Remove the tape from the camera. Gently pull the camera out from the birdhouse until it dangles.
Step 2: Rotate the camera 180 degrees. Align the two protrusions on the back of the camera with the corresponding holes on the birdhouse.
Step 3: Firmly push until the camera snaps into place.
Step 4: Use the four screws provided to secure the camera in place.
Step 5: Cover the exterior camera with the protective cap.
Mounting Your Birdfy Nest
Step 1: Use the provided drill template to mark the locations of the holes, then use an electric drill (15/64″, 6mm) to drill four holes.
Step 2: Drive the provided plastic anchors into the holes. Skip this step if you are mounting on wood. Next, fasten the hanging bracket on the wall using the screws.
Step 3: Align the mounting bracket on the back of the birdhouse with the hanging bracket, then hang the birdhouse securely on the wall.
Pole-mounted
Step 1: Loosen the hose clips by turning the handle counterclockwise. Next, slide the hose clips through the slots of the hanging bracket. Align the bracket with the pole and secure it to the pole by tightening the hose clips.
Step 2: Align the mounting bracket located at the back of the birdhouse with the hanging bracket, then securely hang the birdhouse on the pole.
Tree-mounted
Step 1: Slide the provided strap through the slots of the hanging bracket.
Step 2: Wrap the strap around a tree trunk and fasten it by threading the end of the strap through the buckle. Make sure the lever on the buckle is facing upwards and that the strap goes through the buckle from the bottom to the top. Then, align the mounting bracket with the hanging bracket and securely hang the birdhouse on the tree.
Connecting to the Solar Panel
Connect the solar panel to the camera base’s charging port. Then, pull the cable through the opening at the top of the birdhouse.
