Product Usage Instructions

Cleaning and Maintenance

Clean all fingerprints and oils from plated surfaces before
using the appliance for the first time. Failure to clean properly
can cause permanent markings on the plating. Once the plating is
cured, little maintenance is required. Wipe clean as needed.

Inspecting and Replacing Firebrick

  1. After the coals have cooled, remove old brick and ash from the
    unit.
  2. Follow the diagram instructions to lay out the new brick
    set.
  3. Install the bottom bricks first, followed by the rear and side
    bricks.
  4. Do not operate the appliance without firebrick.

Correct Baffle & Blanket Placement

WARNING: Improper baffle placement can cause
firebox damage and void the warranty. Ensure correct placement as
per the instructions.

Correct Position: Baffle Board and Ceramic
Blanket must be in contact with the back of the firebox and even
with each other in the front.

Incorrect Positions: Avoid situations where the
Ceramic Blanket and Baffle Board are not in contact with the back
of the firebox.

Replace the rebrick i they become crumbly and/or i there is a 1/4 inch (6.35mm) gap between the bricks.
The rebox is lined with rebrick, which has exceptional insulating properties. Do not use a grate; simply build a re on the rebox oor. Do not operate appliance without rebrick. 1. After the coals have completely cooled, remove all old
brick and ash rom unit and vacuum rebox. 2. Remove new brick set from box and lay out to the
diagram shown in the instructions that come with the brick set or refer to the diagram on the service parts list at the end of this manual.
3. Lay bottom bricks in unit.
4. Install rear bricks on the top o the bottom bricks. Slide top o bricks under clip on back o rebox wall and push bottom of bricks back.
5. Install side bricks. Slide top o brick under clips on side o rebox and push the bottom o the brick until it is ush with the side of the unit.
D. Correct Bafe & Blanket Placement
WARNING
Fire Risk. Firebox damage due to improper bafe placement is not covered by warranty. Operate the wood burning appliance with the bafe in the correct position only.
Not doing so could result in: · Reduced eciency · Overheating the chimney · Overheating the rear o the rebox · Poor performance Ensure correct bafe placement and replace bafe components if damaged or missing.
