HOW TO MIX THE FUEL

This chainsaw is equipped with a two-stroke engine and is powered by mixed fuel. Use only a mix of unleaded gasoline and two-stroke oil in a ratio of 25:1. The chain saw is delivered without mixed fuel and must be filled before start-up operation.ATTENTION!Always add mixed fuel when the chain saw is switched off. Ensure that the fuel switch is in the “OFF“ position. Open the tank cover and fill it with a maximum 17 ounces of the combined mixed fuel. Do not overfill the tank. Close the tank lid carefully.
ADD 2-STROCK OIL/GASS MIXTURE BEFORE USE: Mix 17 ounces of gasoline with 0.67oz. 2-cycle engine oil (this is the 25:1 ratio) in a separate container, then pour into the fuel tank.

WARNING

Gas and gas fumes are flammable and explosive. Handling fuel can result in serious injury or burns.

  • Do not fill the fuel tank near heat, sparks or an open flame.
  • Always allow several minutes for the engine to cool before refuelling.
  • Do not overfill the fuel tank. Wipe up fuel spills. Spilled fuel is a fire hazard.
  • Make sure to use gasoline with a minimum octane number of 87.
  • Move at least 10 feet away from the fueling point before starting the engine.

BAR AND CHAIN LUBRICANT

  1. The guide bar and saw chain require lubrication to minimize friction. Never starve the guide bar and chain of lubrication oil.
  2. Running the unit without enough oil will decrease cutting efficiency, shorten the life of the saw chain, and cause rapid dulling of the saw chain.
  3. To prevent excessive wear, the chain and guide bar should be lubricated constantly. the oil pump discharges chain lubricant from the tank to lubricate the bar and chain.
  4. This chainsaw is also complete with a manual lubricant pump(by hand)which can be used to provide more lubricant during certain operating conditions.
  5. Failure to fill the chain oil reservoir will cause irreparable damage to the unit. Make sure the chain oil reservoir is always filled. Always use bar and chain oil.
  6. Only use bar and chain oil that is formulated to perform over a wide range of temperatures with no diluting required in the chain oil reservoir.
  7. Do not use motor oil or any other petroleum-based oil. Do not use dirty, used or contaminated oil. Damage may occur to the guide bar or saw chain.
  8. Make sure the chain lubricant tank cap and its surrounding area are cleaned so that dirt and contaminants will not enter the tank during refilling.
